Honesty
I get nervous too, every performance.
Empathy
Everyone has a story worth hearing.
Humour
Joy on stage is something worth sharing.
A speaker, storyteller, author, poet, singer, actor and human rights advocate who has taken the stage from Montego Bay to Melbourne.
Over a career spanning three decades, as a practitioner with children in social work and education, moving into international child rights advocacy, I have lived a charmed life in Scotland, England, the Netherlands, Switzerland and now France.
Working with clients of all ages, from those in the early days of a career to seasoned professionals, and with a particular commitment to empowering children and young people, has been my privilege.
The red thread running through it all, has been a commitment to the service of others.
Call it client-centric, people-centric, or simply keeping
it human.
Honesty, Empathy and Humour are the three key pillars of my life and work. Proud to say that these are not values claimed for myself, but gifted through the generous feedback of audiences, coaches and mentors over the years.
When not scribbling in my notebook or stepping on stage to speak, sing or perform, you can probably find me taking photographs, in the kitchen testing a new recipe, or relaxing with a book in one hand and a cat in my lap.
